Collectif Arc-en-Ciel (CAEC), which was launched in May 2005, is the first local and national registered LGBT association in Mauritius, and has several campaigning projects, prevention and community activities to its credit over 12 years. The CAEC is focused on awareness raising in relation to LGBT matters, and provides a platform for the LGBT community to come together and act together. The CAEC is, amongst other things, responsible for the annual LGBT Pride March in Mauritius.
